40 is the New 20

Hey!!  Look at that!  We're at number FORTY already!  Well, by already, I mean 8 months in the making.  Oy.  But, I have to say, I'm actually loving this slow meandering process.
This one was an adventure in trying to use as much of the original fabric as possible without waste. Not completely zero-waste, but most of the parts I did cut away (there were very few), my daughter will be incorporating in some of her jewelry projects.

This fabric is a slinky synthetic and I used the original condition of the fabric to my advantage. That is to say, it was cut on an angle on one end, and I simply incorporated it into the design.
It's a bit narrower than my other moos, due to fabric restrictions, but it should still quite comfortably accommodate up to a 40 inch bust.
As you can see, I came up with a simple bracelet including a button to attach the dress train to. You can wear it down, BUT you will trip over it. You can also swing the train around the other side and fasten it to a gorgeous button at the v-neck center, making this a saucy little number.
Switch it up with whatever belt you may want to try. I've tried it with a woven belt, and a flashier sequin belt.
Thanks for joining me on the first Forty!!  Sixty more to go. Are you excited?! Am I excited?? I think I've convinced myself that I am. Ha!

Make your week a great one!
