Moo Moo # 32 Martini the Second

Like I said in the last post, I have a few martini silk screen prints hanging around, so this Moo got one too (it's a pocket)! It's been crazy hot here, in the Niagara region, the last several days, so I'm becoming very fond of the word MARTINI. It's a lovely word, don't you think?  I drink more smoothies than martinis, but, I'm a big fan of beverages in general.

So this Moo Moo has the same peasant style neckline as the last one, except I scooped out the neckline a tad deeper and wider giving me lots of room to create a versatile neckline. As you can see in the photos below, you can wear it as is, or pull it off one or both shoulders if you're feeling extra saucy.

The purple bodice is a knit (t-shirt like fabric) and the neckline and skirt are wovens (cotton).  They dance a little around the waistline where they meet. I pleated the skirt (in a calculated-random manner, haha) and added belt loops at the waist. Now, this is a mid-lower waistline, which can be worn down low, or cinched up under your rib cage with a belt of your own creating more fabric volume up top, and a nice definition at the waistline.  Also, notice in the last photo above, that I tied the two belt loops together at the center back. This creates a fuller skirt in the back and a sleeker, more fitted look in the front.  Just play around with it. It's pretty fun.
Thanks for stopping in to check up on my Moo Moo project!  So far I'm not totally bored out of my mind ... still feels like an adventure!

Oh!  Please note my wonderful reclaimed birch bark earrings!  They are by wonderful Toronto designer, Has Been Boutique.  You have to check out her stuff.  So yummy!!
