Art of Fashion in Toronto has been part of the Canadian design scene for the past 11 years. It's described as "where art meets fashion and fashion inspires art."
A not-for-profit organization, Art of Fashion was created to give rising Canadian designers opportunities for exposure and to help elevate the profile of the Canadian fashion design industry. This year's theme is "Iconic Power" and rising Canadian designers will showcase their Art of Fashion exclusive collections as part of the Annual Design Competition.
This year, the event takes place on October 3rd, from 7pm to 3am, with a trunk show happening simultaneously until midnight.
New this year is a Rethink Breast Cancer Bra Exhibit. Designers will create bras based on the "Iconic Power" theme. Bras will be professionally framed and displayed as art. These
bras will be sold on site for $250 each or entered into Rethink’s future fundraising
initiatives. 100% of funds raised will be donated directly to Rethink Breast Cancer.
Jules Mae is proud to be participating in both the Rethink Breast Cancer Bra Exhibit, as well as the Art of Fashion Trunk Show. If you are in Toronto on October 3rd, stop by The Distillery District's Fermenting Cellar, 55 Mill St. Buildings 6 & 7. I'll be there from 7pm - midnight. Looking forward to seeing you!
